Details

Andrew Rubin invites us to consider how the writings of two of the 20th century’s most formidable intellectual exiles, Edward Said and Hannah Arendt, challenge us to rethink the shared roots of modern European anti-Semitism and Orientalism. By thinking through their experiences of exile and dispossession together, Rubin explores how a comparative perspective of their lives and writings may very well give us a fuller understanding of the ways in which Jews and Palestinians belong to the same stream of human history.
