In our concerns with AI’s prehension of the world through the logics of its data models and infrastructures, we delve deeper into its inner workings and outer ambitions; its sleight of hand in erasing differences between human and non human, and yet at the same time ever more clearly making them distinct. In a race to build, regulate and integrate AI into the world all at the same time, Maya Ganesh and her guests will pause to be inspired by artist Mimi Onuoha’s Missing Data Sets and ask: what-and who- is missing when we speak of AI? What different/new/missing narratives or knowledge might offer a fresh perspective on this technology?
