Details

The scientific paper can be viewed as the elementary unit of the communicative reproduction (autopoiesis) of the global system of science. In the evolution of science interesting correlations can be seen between changes in the complexity of scientific problems and transformations in the cooperation structures from which scientific papers originate. The most recent addition to the diversity of scientific papers is “hyperauthorship”, a type of scientific paper with hundreds or even thousands of authors. In my presentation, I will explore this remarkable invention, its underlying social structures and its systemic consequences.

It is an opportunity to raise questions, discuss methodological challenges, or get feedback on preliminary conclusions. We aim to create a supportive atmosphere that combines rigorous criticism with genuine curiosity.
